International Students

Applicants who meet the admission requirements but are from countries other than Canada will receive conditional acceptance letters so they may obtain a Student Authorization or Student Visa. As a condition of acceptance, they must provide the Registrar's Office with a copy of their Student Authorization prior to registration. Students wishing to seek admissions to Portage College should apply at least six (6) months in advance of the semester in which they wish to commence studies. Please note the following:

• Application will remain pending until ALL required documentation is received.
• Applications are not carried over from one year to the next.
• You must submit a new application form along with all other necessary documentation, each time you apply for admission to Portage College.
• You must meet the specific admission requirements of the program of study, as outlined in the links on the program pages.
• Official transcripts from all high schools and post-secondary institutions attended must be submitted to IQAS (International Qualifications Assessment Services-Alberta Advanced Education and Technology) for evaluation at the applicant's expense. Official transcripts must bear original, authorized signature and the stamp or seal of the institution. If these transcripts are written in a language other than English, the transcripts must be translated and properly notarized by a Public Notary.
