Located in close proximity to the college; offering a variety of programming and services for adults and children; a member of the Northern Lights Library System.
Adult Learning & Literacy
The Wainwright & District Council for Adult Lifelong Learning provides relevant and beneficial learning opportunities for Alberta that are complementary to and coordinated with other elements of the private and government-supported systems of education, training, and learning. Their Adult Literacy project is a volunteer based program that matches adult learners with volunteer tutors to work on developing skills in reading, writing, spelling and numeracy.
Recreation
Wainwright boasts a variety of recreational and sporting opportunities; the Peace Memorial Multiplex state of the art facility features twin NHL size rinks, an indoor walking/running track and indoor climbing wall. There is also walking trails; a stocked fishing pond; skate park; aquatic facilities with weight training, racquet ball, and more.
