Established under Portage College's Academic Council, the Research Ethics Board is a group of faculty and staff who support, approve and review research at the College while ensuring the privacy of those at the College who are asked or volunteer to be involved in research projects. In compliance with the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans 2010, the members' main purpose is to review and ensure that projects do not endanger or violate privacy.
The board consists of 2-4 Faculty members, a community member with research background, as well as, the Public Services Librarian.
