Student Member for Portage College Board of Governors is Appointed

Portage College would like to welcome the new Board of Governors (BOG) Student Member of Portage College, Alfred Crookedneck.

Mr. Crookedneck was nominated and recommended to be the student representative to the Board of Governors by the Students Association of Portage College (SAPC).

"Mr. Crookedneck has a broad view of student life at Portage College, both through sports activities in Lac La Biche and volunteering with the SAPC on different campuses.  He has a lot of amazing life experiences that he's bringing to the table.  The SAPC is confident that he will be a valuable addition to the Portage College Board of Governors." Said Amie Elponoria, General Manager of the Students' Association of Portage College.  

Mr. Crookedneck has been an active member of the Portage College Student Ambassador program as well as involved in the athletic programs on the Lac La Biche campus.  He enthusiastically helps the SAPC in various activities.

Mr. Crookedneck is currently enrolled in the College Prep stream of the ACE Program at the St. Paul Campus.  

Mr. Crookedneck will serve a term to expire June 30, 2018.
