Jordan Picard Recruited from Timmins
May 31, 2018

Portage College is pleased to announce the commitment of Jordan Picard from the Timmins Rock of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL).

Jordan Picard

Picard is a shifty forward that played his complete junior career in the NOJHL. His first season and a half was with the Iroquois Falls Eskis and then went on to play for the French River Rapids. After 11 games in his last season, his hometown Timmins Rock acquired him where he lead the team in scoring.

"Jordan has developed into a great two-way player and has soft hands around the net." Said Kevin Peever, General Manager of the Timmins Rock Hockey Team.

Picard will be enrolled in the Business Program at Portage where he will pursue a business diploma or degree.

"Jordan is a small skilled forward that we believe will be able to score at this level. I am familiar with Jordan's game having watched him play numerous times of the past three seasons. He is a complete player that will be a good addition up front for us." Said Nate Bedford, Head Coach of Portage College Voyageurs Men's Hockey.
