At Saturday's home opener Pontiacs' game, Portage College was on hand at the C2 Centre with congratulations to the Pontiacs, along with a great opportunity to find out what the College has to offer the community, and learners in particular.
More than 900 people walked through the C2 doors for the game, stopping first in the parking lot to hear some live music and enjoy a free barbeque lunch.
On hand to meet the public were Portage College President, Dr. Trent Keough, Vice President, Student and College Services, Nancy Broadbent, and Vice President, Academic, Dr. Musabbir Chowdhury.
Bonnyville was the first location in a number of community venues that Portage College executive and staff will visit this fall and winter. The intent is to attend community events in order to personally introduce programs and employees of the College to members of the communities served by the College.
