In addition to acknowledging the importance of career and technology studies for Alberta students, the project also promotes a process of smooth transitioning for high school students into postsecondary studies. This is the third such innovative partnership between Portage College and Aspen View school division in the last three years". Dermod Madden; Superintendent Aspen View Schools.

Portage College will deliver apprenticeship welding to students at the Boyle School and Edwin Par School and apprenticeship carpentry at H.A.
