The Town of Bonnyville is located 240 km from Edmonton in northeastern Alberta. The Town itself serves more than 10,000 people and is the center for numerous oil & gas companies that have set up head offices within the community.
Portage College Bonnyville campus has been in operation since 1995. The campus relocated to the Bonnyville Centennial Centre (C2) in 2007, which enabled us to expand our programming. The C2 is a superb facility, which combines education and recreation.
Portage provides an excellent local learning opportunity. Our instructors are highly experienced and they pride themselves on their ability to provide unique one-on-one support in a comfortable, friendly learning environment.
If you're interested in increasing your opportunities for employment by furthering your education you can enroll in our Academic Foundations program. Or perhaps you want to prepare for a career program, the College/University Preparation program will allow you to do just that. We also offer on-line programming, such as: Culinary Arts, Women's Shelter Crisis Worker and University. Or maybe you're interested in our Apprenticeship Electrician program; we have both period 1, 2 and 3.

Portage College Community and Industry Training Initiative (CITI) Division offers a broad range of skill development and career courses throughout the year.
We can provide training to update previously learned skills, and custom design new programs to meet emerging demands. CITI courses match information presentation and certified training to help ensure outcomes that enhance individual productivity and safety. Here are just some of the options available: Heath Care Aide, Educational Assistant, Truck Transport Class I & III and a variety of evening computer courses.
