Student Mentorship

The college employs mentors to provide assistance to students in most program areas. Mentors are guides rather than providers of knowledge and are there to provide positive support to students while encouraging them to complete their programs. Mentors help students make an easier transition to college life by listening to their problems, providing them with information and referring them to people who can assist them. They also act as liaison between program coordinators, instructors and students. Mentors arrange external learning opportunities such as "Lunch and Learn" based on topic suggestions from students.
