Wainwright is situated 61 kilometres south of Vermilion, near the beautiful Battle River valley. Residents enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with the convenience of all the modern amenities of a larger centre.
Our Wainwright campus serves Wainwright and surrounding communities in the neighbouring vicinity, such as Irma, Provost, Edgerton, and Hughenden as a centre for adult education. The campus is located at 912-3 Avenue. The campus is unique among adult upgrading programs in that we share facilities with the Blessed Sacrament Outreach High School. This is a good partnership for both the high school students and the adults. Our Academics for Careers and Education department can provide students with high school credit courses. Staff are available to help with funding, program planning, and career counselling. Students work on individualized programs in a friendly, secure environment with personal instruction from experienced and qualified instructors. Course delivery includes on- site programs as well as online courses. If completing high school credits would help with your future plans, then Portage College is your solution.
