This exciting second year program is available to all successful learners from either the Native Artisan or Native Cultural Arts Instructor Program. Students have the opportunity to expand and enhance their artistic ability and to learn and understand the historical significance of their traditional arts. Included in this second year is the Canada wide Tourism Essentials Course which is vital for any Aboriginal entrepreneur interested in opening an art gallery, craft store or looking to preserve their heritage and take appropriate care of artifacts. Students enjoy the Care and Collection of Artifact Course, this course will assist students interested in job opportunities in Museums and Interpretive Centres.
All three Cultural Arts programs focus upon understanding the Cultural and Spiritual heritage within the Arts. These programs present an excellent opportunity for any First Nation, Métis or Inuit student interested in reclaiming their heritage and restoring community pride.
