Lock Out-Tag Out
This course will discuss the control of hazardous energy by using proper lockout/tagout procedures. Students will learn to define hazardous energy, identify sources of hazardous energy, and describe proper lockout/tagout procedures. Students will also be able to identify and demonstrate the use of lockout/tagout equipment, perform a lockout/tagout procedure and identify the regulations on control of hazardous energy as mandated by the Alberta Occupational Health & Safety Code 2006, Part 15 - Managing the Control of Hazardous Energy, and CSA Standard Z460 -05 Control of Hazardous Energy - Lockout and Other Methods.
