Have you ever wanted to work outdoors in the forest performing a variety of tasks that will help to sustain our forests? If so, the Forestry Technician program is for you!
This program focuses on skill development that will make you a productive Forest Technician.
Forest Technicians have many skills that they apply in the field daily.
Forest Technicians usually work for industry or government doing a variety of tasks such as supervising silvicultural operations such as tree planting or standtending , performing timber cruising to determine timber quantity and quality, laying out forest cutblocks and haul roads for forest harvesting operations, supervising logging operations, or working to protect our forests from fire, insects and disease.
Forest Technicians are the field personnel who can perform a variety of tasks in sustaining our forests for the future.
Offered through the Lac La Biche Campus at our Forestry Centre at Beaver Lake.
