Managing Alberta's natural resources can be a difficult task. Balancing industrial pressure with the need for preservation, conservation, and reclamation creates career demands in the natural sciences. If working mainly outdoors in a technical capacity interests you then the Natural Resource Technician program is for you!

The Natural Resources Program provides students with the opportunity to obtain a Natural Resources Certificate. Courses blend theory and applied science skills preparing students for lifetime engagement with the major environmental challenges facing society. The skills gained in this program prepare students with the necessary skills to to pursue careers working for environmental companies, local or provincial governments, or directly for industry, ensuring the impact of development on our natural resources is minimized.

In Alberta today, there is a growing need for skilled natural resource technologist. Portage College's carefully designed program and prime location allows you to quickly develop the skills you need to make a real difference in today's world.
