Have you ever wanted to work outdoors, do physical work that helps our environment, or protect our forests from wildland fires using modern firefighting techniques? If so, the Wildland Firefighter program is for you!

This 3-week program focuses on skill development that will make you a productive Wildland Firefighter using initial attack and sustained action firefighting techniques while fighting fire safely and aggressively.

Wildland Firefighters can work as firetack members or heliattack members for the provincial government or for private contractors. They can also work on federal lands and national parks as initial attack members.

Wildland Firefighters are ready to take on the challenge of protecting our forests.

Offered through the Lac La Biche Campus.
