The Women's Shelter Crisis Worker (WSCW) Program provides comprehensive training and education in the field of family violence. This WSCW Certificate Program is a one-of a-kind program in the Province of Alberta (and Canada) and will be of interest to crisis workers working in women's shelters and people who are or who want to work in the field of family violence.

The WSCW Program consists of 10 courses; 8 computer-mediated learning (on-line) courses and 2 face-to-face workshops that prepare graduates to work in the field of family violence. The program is par-time, designed to enhance a worker's existing skills, and can be completed within two years and leads to a WSCW Certificate which is recognized by Alberta Education, Portage College and the Alberta Council of Women's Shelters.
