In this face-to-face, six-hour, industry-recognized, bear-aware course, you will learn North American bear types, bear behaviors, and habitats and how to prevent or handle bear encounters. Portage will give you hands-on experiences with the safe deployment of bear spray and bangers.

Chainsaw Safety - WTA Woodland Trainers Association

The objective of this chainsaw safety training is to provide the chainsaw operator with the skills and safe practices required for slashing, bucking and falling. Students must demonstrate proper safety procedures and proficient chainsaw use in bucking, limbing and basic tree falling. This 3-day course includes certification with Woodland Trainers Association (WTA).
