1. What is Convocation?
Convocation is a college-wide ceremony to celebrate student achievement and success. It is not a graduation ceremony but rather a celebration for those students who may be eligible for graduation.

2. Timing?
Virtual Convocation will be on Friday June 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.

A link will be provided to join the Virtual Convocation Ceremony. You will also be able to access the ceremony from the College website Convocation 2022 page.

3. Who’s eligible to attend Convocation?
Students who are eligible for graduation and whose program of studies will be completed in the 2021–2022 academic year (by June 30, 2022). Invitations will be sent in March to students who are eligible to attend.

4. What about students who receive an invitation but withdraw from their studies before the ceremony?
The Registrar’s Office will remove the names of students that withdraw prior to May 1st from the eligible student list.

5. Will graduates be invited to any future in-person convocation ceremonies?
Yes, we invite you to participate in any of our future in-person convocation ceremonies. RSVP requests usually occur in the month of March each year, so please mark it on your 2023 calendar and reach out to Student Services at that time if you would like to come in person.

6. Will graduation be celebrated at the end of the program?
Convocation is a college-wide celebration of student achievement. Program areas have the individual choice of whether or not to celebrate student completion.

7. Where can I get more information about Convocation?

8. Do I have to wear a cap and gown?
All students participating in the ceremony will receive a convocation package in the mail. Students are expected to wear the cap and tassel during the virtual ceremony.

9. Will I get my certificate (or diploma) at the ceremony?
No, you will receive a letter in your convocation package. Your certificate (or diploma) will be mailed to you at a later date.
