The CMVF3C represents a nationwide partnership involving post-secondary institutions (PSIs), the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), as well as military members, veterans, their families, and various support organizations.

Military-connected individuals have a direct link with the Canadian Armed Forces or the military of their home nation. Military-connected students may identify as:

  • Current serving members of the Regular Force
  • Current serving members of the Reserve Component
  • Veterans
  • Department of National Defence – Civil Servant
  • Immediate Family of CAF member or Veteran

As a military-connected student, you could be entitled to credit for your military record and experience. Your acquired knowledge and skills gained through experience will be evaluated to assess if credit can be granted. In order to apply to have your miliary record reviewed for Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition for a Portage College program, please submit your Member's Personnel Record Resume to our academic advisor.
