Portage College is committed to providing our visitors with a website that respects their privacy.
The College collects personal information from prospective students during marketing and recruitment campaigns, and during the application process. Information gathered is used for student recruitment and marketing, as well as other purposes such as; statistical analysis and research to help us review, improve and develop College programs.

When you visit The Site we automatically log your IP address, browser type, access time, click path and other information used to conduct website evaluations, to monitor our website and visitor traffic, to provide you with tailored advertising based on your interests or based on your visit to our website, and to keep track of other online usage data such as click paths and the websites visited immediately before and after using The Site.
Log files such as those described in the above paragraphs, are not tied to personally identifiable information and we will not use this data to identify personal information through other third parties.
Portage's websites do not automatically gather any personal information from you, such as your name, telephone number, email address or address. Personal information will only be collected if you choose to provide it to us voluntarily using email, an application or a form on the Portage College website.
Use, disclosure and privacy of this information will be governed by the College's polices, guidelines, procedures related to personal information and its use, as well as the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act. Any information that we collect is used for the purposes of administering The Site, to personalize your web experience, to respond to your contact requests, to improve our website, to analyze The Site statistics and usage, and to provide you with tailored marketing and advertising.

We will delete your name from our mailing list following the receipt of your request by letter, fax, email or phone.
We must obtain the consent of anyone whose name may be retained in our records to receive products or information. The customer can at any time withdraw consent to receive further information or products. We will then remove the customer's name as quickly as possible. If you do not consent to the terms of the policy as it applies to the website, please stop using the website.
From time to time we may acquire from outside companies lists of customers who have consented to receive information. It may sometimes occur that a name that we have deleted on request from our files may appear on one of the lists we have acquired. In such a case the customer may request another deletion.
