Mallory grew up on a farm in small town Saskatchewan, where at the age of 16 she started showing an interest in the world of Culinary Arts. At a diner in her hometown, Mallory became the youngest cook allowed to work a busy short order line on her own. Her passion for the food industry grew stronger and led her to follow her dreams of becoming a chef. She obtained her Culinary Arts Diploma at NAIT and since then has worked in banquet kitchens, in fine dining, and bakeries. Mallory's achievements include winning food product development competitions by creating cake mixes that utilize Canadian pulses. She won 1st place provincially and placed 2nd at the national competition in Montreal. Mallory is dedicated to her children, farming, food sustainability, supporting local food producers, and utilizing what is grown within the province. She is a passionate teacher who truly enjoys helping those who aspire to become chefs. Mallory teaches both first and second year programs in Hospitality at Portage College and looks forward to sharing her expertise with you.
