St. Paul is the home of Alberta's first Food Sciences Centre.

Located in Northeast Alberta, approximately 200 kilometres from Edmonton, St. Paul has all the services you could want such as excellent education, hospital, medical centres, and daycare/day home services. Shopping centres, numerous sports and recreational centres including a swimming pool, bowling alley and an 18 hole golf course.

The newly created Food Sciences Centre will serve as the hub of food science programming in the north. With over 5 million dollars spent renovating this state of the art facility, St. Paul can boast culinary programming such as a two year culinary arts diploma, a baking certificate, an institutional cook certificate and a pre-employment cooking certificate.

Student Services in St. Paul

We have several partnerships with recreation facilities in the city of St. Paul. Students that attend Portage College are able to access the recreation centre and gym.

Why not check out the host of restaurants in St. Paul? From chain restaurants like Boston Pizza to international cuisine like Tommy's Jamaican food. The Student Common area is an ideal place to eat if you bring your own lunch, it's also a great place for students to connect during breaks. The Food Sciences Centre is also planning on opening up a cafe and dining area that will sell culinary products made by our very own Food Sciences Centre students.

St. Paul Hall offers students self-contained rooms designed for two students to share. St. Paul Hall is very convenient for easy access to classes. Each room includes two beds and desks, a kitchen with a stove and fridge, table and chairs, and a full bathroom.

We also offer family housing is for full time students who have lived 75 kms from the town of St. Paul for more than three years immediately prior to date of application as verified in residence history. For more information click here.

From golf to movie theatres, there's a little bit of everything for students at the St. Paul campus. Local cultural facilities include the St. Paul Visual Arts Centre, St. Paul Historical Museum, People's Museum Society, and the Mannawanis Friendship Centre.
