"The College is so grateful for the ongoing support of Lac La Biche County. The concert will be a great way to wrap up our excellent line up of 50th anniversary celebrations which start that week on September 14 with our Alumni recognition event.  The partnership with Lac La Biche County will be visible all week. The County's assistance with organizing and hosting of this amazing concert is so generous," says Nancy Broadbent, Interim President and CEO of Portage College.

"We're a college community. Portage College always has and always will be a key asset in the County," says Lac La Biche County Mayor Omer Moghrabi. "We're pleased to celebrate this important 50-year milestone with the annual Canoe Fest."

Lee Aaron was born in Ontario, and had several hits in the 1980s and early 1990s, such as "Metal Queen" and "Watcha Do to My Body."

The band Prism hails from Vancouver, and started out in the late 1970s. Some of their hits were "Take Me to the Kaptin" and "Spaceship Superstar."
