Portage College recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Saskatchewan-based virtual school Credenda College to expand Credenda's program offerings. The partnership allows Credenda College to gain open access to the Educational Assistant and Early Learning and Child Care programs developed at Portage College.
"This is an excellent partnership for Portage College," said Mardere Birkill, Vice President Academic. "We're starting with our Educational Assistant and Early Learning programs, but we're hoping to grow this opportunity to other programs offerings as well."
Portage College will work with Credenda to build and market to a stronger student population in the Saskatchewan region, allowing both institutions to benefit from a greater access to students.
"At Credenda, we believe in our youth and their potential, we want to provide them with a quality education and our partnership with Portage College will help us achieve that goal," said Vincent Hill, CEO and Director of Credenda College.
The partnership combines two institutions that have had great success in delivering distance education. Portage College strives to give open access for learning to students across the country and Credenda College is also considered a leader in distance education technology in Saskatchewan.
