The Alberta Government has announced that post-secondary colleges and universities will be returning to face-to-face delivery where possible for September 2021.
Rest assured, Portage College will continue to monitor the pandemic situation closely and take guidance from Alberta Health Services and the Ministry of Advanced Education. Would you like to help others through emergency medical response? The EMR program is the place to start. EMRs provide entry level medical and trauma care in health services and industrial settings.
If you are looking for a progressive career in pre-hospital care, then our Primary Care Paramedic program is perfect for you. Our training program teaches front line treatment issues and how to perform critical medical procedures on patients before and during transportation to hospital for additional medical care.
Do you want to advance your career in pre-hospital care while currently employed? Then our Advanced Care Paramedic program is designed with you in mind.Once you graduate, you'll be eligible to write the Alberta Provincial Licensing exam for registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics.
Accredited by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta, our unique nursing program will prepare you to meet the competencies required to enter the exciting, dynamic profession of Practical Nursing.
