Research Ethics Board

Established under Portage College's Academic Council, the Research Ethics Board is a group of faculty and staff who support, approve and review research at the College while ensuring the privacy of those at the College who are asked or volunteer to be involved in research projects. In compliance with the Tri-Council Policy Statement 2: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (2018), the members' main purpose is to review and ensure that projects do not endanger or violate privacy. Please note that the TCPS 2 Tutorial must be completed, with proof of completion, as part of the research application.

The board consists of faculty members, accredited library professionals, and a community member with a research background.
