Foundations of Sales in Tourism and Agritourism

This micro-credential introduces the fundamentals of tourism and hospitality sales, with a focus on agritourism. Learners explore key tourism sectors and the growing demand for authentic, local experiences. Emphasis is placed on the traits of effective sales professionals—such as storytelling and cultural sensitivity—and understanding the guest sales funnel. Ethical sales practices that support sustainability and respect for local communities are also highlighted.

Micro-credentials are short, concentrated groups of courses that are really flexible. You can take as many as you like, in any order, and because they are asynchronous you can take them at any time it suits you. You will be awarded a badge for each individual course, once you have completed all four courses you will gain your micro-credential.

The cost for each individual course listed below is $60. For more Information email: training@portagecollege.ca or call 780-623-5631 or toll-free at 1-888-745-0719.
