Sales Techniques for Guest Engagement

The final micro-credential focuses on guest retention and practical application. Learners will explore strategies for following up after a sale, building guest loyalty, and creating memorable experiences that encourage repeat visits—especially important in agritourism, where seasonal traditions and personal connections drive long-term success. Through the analysis of real-world case studies, students will apply their skills by evaluating actual sales scenarios, identifying effective strategies, and reflecting on lessons learned to prepare for real-world interactions in tourism and hospitality environments.

Micro-credentials are short, concentrated groups of courses that are really flexible. You can take as many as you like, in any order, and because they are asynchronous you can take them at any time it suits you. You will be awarded a badge for each individual course, once you have completed all four courses you will gain your micro-credential.

The cost for each individual course listed below is $60. For more Information email: training@portagecollege.ca or call 780-623-5631 or toll-free at 1-888-745-0719.
