Sales Techniques for Guest Engagement

This micro-credential builds the interpersonal and persuasive communication skills essential for engaging guests and closing sales. Learners will explore in-person sales techniques, including how to make strong first impressions, read and use body language effectively, and craft compelling pitches that tell the story of their tourism or agritourism offering. The unit also covers how to handle objections with empathy and close sales with confidence, using real-world examples from farm tours, markets, and rural accommodations.

Micro-credentials are short, concentrated groups of courses that are really flexible. You can take as many as you like, in any order, and because they are asynchronous you can take them at any time it suits you. You will be awarded a badge for each individual course, once you have completed all four courses you will gain your micro-credential.

The cost for each individual course listed below is $60. For more Information email: training@portagecollege.ca or call 780-623-5631 or toll-free at 1-888-745-0719.
