Mental Health Navigator

The Mental Health Navigator is here to help you find the right support, whether you're feeling overwhelmed, looking for resources, or unsure where to start. Working alongside campus counsellors, the Navigator offers confidential guidance to explore your mental health concerns, connect you with services on and off campus, and share wellness tools tailored to your needs.

Throughout the year, the Navigators lead:

  • Lunchtime Connections, casual drop-in sessions that create space for conversation, stress relief, and community building.
  • Community Helpers, a free training program for students and staff that builds mental health awareness, teaches suicide prevention strategies, and empowers you to support peers who may be struggling.

  • Mental Health Awareness Events, workshops, and outreach activities that help reduce stigma and promote well-being across campus.

Drop in, reach out, or book a chat—you're not alone, and support is here.

We acknowledge that Portage College’s service region is on the traditional lands of First Nation Peoples, the owners of Treaty 6, 8 and 10, which are also homelands to the Métis people. We honour the history and culture of all people who first lived and gathered in these lands.
