Last week ACAC announced that they will be “taking preliminary steps to explore expansion from traditional post-secondary sport competition into the growing world of eSports. A pilot ACAC sponsored online eSport competition is scheduled to take place on November 21, 2020 and could potentially involve participants from 17 or more Alberta post-secondary institutions.”

“Portage College is excited about the possibility of adding eSports to the ACAC brand,” said Nate Bedford, Manager of Athletics and Recreation at Portage College. “This is an opportunity for all of our campuses to compete and we are looking forward to the launch of this trial event in November.”
